Meet the Pelagic Property Team

Mr. Smith has been actively involved in investing in the Florida Keys as well as representing development throughout the Florida Keys.  Mr. Smith’s knowledge of Florida Keys real estate has allowed him to work through the difficult regulatory procedures required to develop and operate real estate in the Florida Keys.  As the managing partner, Mr. Smith is responsible for the oversight of all of Pelagic’s managed properties including implementation and enhancement of the company’s Standard Operating Procedures, and maintaining operating budgets.

In 2005, Leslie left Medline and moved to Key West for a position in her family’s Property Management Company Green Fairways where her duties included Financial Reporting and Accounting, Staffing, and Employee management of Commercial Office Buildings, Golf Courses, Marinas, Apartments, Mobile Home Parks, Home Owner’s Associations, and Mining Operations.   She began working in the same capacity at Pelagic Property Management, LLC in 2017.  Ms. Johnson also manages development, take-over and transition of new properties.  Leslie has developed and maintained close working relationships with vendors in Key West enhanced by her many years of volunteering at her children’s schools, The Chamber of Commerce, and The Lower Keys Medical Center Advisory Board.  Bachelor’s of Business Marketing, University of Iowa 1995.
